Weekend

Dear Weekend,

I love you. I really do. I look forward to seeing you every week, and really miss you when you are gone.
Although, I think we need to talk about maybe being a bit longer....
and well, that there aren't that many of you...
I also now have to schedule you with
family, friends, and others...
I didn't have to do that before,
and now since I am less youthful...
It has come to this.
Please Weekend, be more kind to me, because I truly do love you.

Annoyed

Luke starts work at 6:00

at 6:09, after I have dropped him off....I get a text. "what are your plans for the night?"

reply, "I don't know."

Luke, "why not?"

Luke, "will you bring me me iPod, I forgot it?"

reply, "didn't plan anything, and no, you'll be fine without it."

Luke, "I'd do it for you."

(insert eye roll, because I know that he wouldn't)

After receiving several phone calls asking what I was doing and what was going on and if a voice mail with a small and meek voice repeating "please", I'd really had enough.

The last phone call was the last straw...

I love Luke, I really do, but when he gets in his silly moods, and I woke up at 5:00AM to leave for work by 5:30...its not longer fun....we need to find a nice compromise to him being silly when he's tired, and me being grumpy...because the current arrangement isn't working.

any suggestions?

Pearson Quotes - Luke

"If it literally rained cats and dogs, there would be a lot of strays...do you think if that was the case, we'd resort to eating them as food?"

Never Ever Say Never Ever

Here I am by myself again, opinions and thoughts wandering with no place to go
I would like to mention or blog about them sometimes...

And yet I do not feel like I have the time to ever blog...

Its never the good time,

Nothing really happens in our life...

We're pretty boring...

Yet, I am constantly laughing, and having fun...

So here it is people, I am going to make the goal to write about whatever pops into my head for the next few week...

Christmas

I took from the 24th to the 4th off...and this is what Luke and I did.

December 23

Packed up clothes, dog, presents, and other belongings. Wished the apartment a Merry Christmas, and headed to Christmas celebrations. We spent the night in Park City

December 24

Showered. Dressed and got ready for two Christmas parties. Loaded everything back into the car, and drove to the first party.

Bowen Christmas Party:
Ate ham, pasta salad (amazing), cookie salad (really good, trust me), and funeral potatoes. Chatted and talked to cousins, aunts and uncles. Skits were preformed with cowboys and the reading of "Twas a Night Before Christmas." Aunt Glenda read a story about Grandma Barbara, and then Grandma's gifts were given out. Luke got a tool box, and I received a beautiful Christmas afghan. We did our gift exchange...and got awesome presents. Luke's cousin Cindy gave me scrapbooking stuff, and Aaron (Luke's Cousin) gave him movie stuff, and a gift card to the theater.  We gave out hugs and got on the road to our second Christmas party.

Aleman Christmas Party:
Food = Tamales
After several helpings of pasta salad, I still managed to eat a few tamales. Luke ate some too. We hung out and talked and ate, and laughed with cousins, aunts, and uncles. Played a few games, as we killed time until midnight.

December 25

12:01am.
Hugged everyone and wished them a Merry Christmas. Then it was time for our annual Secret Santa gift exchange. Luke received a present from Carlos, and gave to my Aunt Ana. I received a gift from my cousin Lisette, and gave to my new cousin Josie. Cleaned a bit, shivered a bit more, and went home to open presents.

Luke got hats - a baseball one and a lumberjack flannel one.
I got make up, just what I wanted.

We hung out in Fillmore for a few more days, saw Princess and the Frog, and pretty much hung out with family. After Fillmore we went to Park City for a few more day and celebrated Christmas.

Luke and I received a Nikon 3000 from his mom and dad. Our stalkings were filled with amazing treats. We also got ornaments from Uncle Brian, The Hangover from Ben, and a couple other things.

On December 29th, we celebrated birthdays with ham, meatloaf, a tarte, and a torte. It was awesome. Got a bunch of cute penguin paraphernalia.

Arrived back home to our apartment, a week later, on December 30th.

i'll update my blog later.....

But does later ever really come?

NO, it really doesn't, and it prove that I am a procrastinator. However, if you know you already know that this is true.

Well, here is an update.

December went by in a flash.

For my birthday Luke did an awesome job. We went out for sushi here.

Which was delicious....

We got dessert here and got their fried ice cream....its ice cream caramel cinnamon heaven.

We went and watched this movie. It made me laugh and cry so many many times.

He gave my a bunch of presents scrapbook stuff, shoes, socks, and he got my favorite wedding picture enlarged.

I was an awesome birthday.

It's been awhile...10 things the Pearson's are doing

I know that it has been awhile. . .I have no longer been able to steal internet from my neighbors. Oh well...its time I got my own.

Here is an update:

1. Luke and I celebrated our one year anniversary on August 8. Wow, a year...it seems like it happened just yesterday.

2. Going to Lake Powell from  August 12-17th...Don't worry we've got plenty of sunscreen.

3. Still living in Ogden, and despite its bad reputation. I love Ogden, and would not mind living there permanently.

4. Luke has decided to grow his beard out...i t looks gross I HATE it, but still love him so I'll deal with it...for now.

5. Still need to see Harry Potter...I know I know...but just haven't had the time or money.

6.My little brother finally visited for a week. It was fun we did the dinosaur park, a Bees game, the Aerospace Museum, swam at the pool, and Luke took him to Transformers. It was fun, but helped us realize that we are not ready to be parents for a long...long...long...time.

7. My fridays off are almost over. I have one left...August 21, and that means that summer is over. I don't want summer to be over, it has been to short.

8. Car issues are the worst. Mine needs a new battery...boo.

9. Luke turns 24 on Aug 16. We'll be the same age for three months and then I turn 25. My sister's birthday is on the 12th, she's turning the big 21, maybe she'll grow up a bit. The last birthday for this month is my mom, who will be turning 50.

10. I have taken up scrapbooking as a hobby. I like it, but still can't cut a straight line.

Well, there are the happenings, I'll try to update this more regularly, but who knows.

The Stanley Cup

It's the Finals, finally...

I've watched way too much of the playoffs. Luke is a big hockey fan, and  he's rooting for the Detroit Red Wings to win. I usually don't root for anyone, but follow the Pittsburgh Penguins. Well, this is the second year in a row that they have played each other in the finals. I don't find watching the games fun, but I watch them, and pretty much read through them and sometimes complain.

The funny thing is when Luke isn't around. I watch the games, well, not really watch them, but have them playing in the background. It makes me feel more comfortable knowing that he's watching the game too wherever he is, or that I'm updating him on the score because he wants to know what is going on.

The things we do for those that we love. . .

At the drive-in...

No not the band but the actual drive in.

Luke and I had a couple date with some friends and went to the drive-in. It was pretty cool, but we were very unprepared. We had no blankets or chairs, however our friends are awesome and had a ton of blankets. I like the double feature that drive-in's have but it sucks when you have to work the next morning.

Since summer is coming, I recommend to everyone to got to the drive-in.

I love....

Movie trailers.

Weird I know, but part of what I love about going to the movies is watching the trailers to other movies. I don't know why I love them I just do. I look them up on yahoo (which has a really nice selection of movies) and on apple.com/trailers.

Why do I bring this up? Well, trailers for movies that I have been waiting to see like....
